Universal Ramen @ AEON mall BSD city, Serpong

Hello from AEON! This is currently one of the hippiest mall around. I am really super duper excited about going here. and HERE I AM. It's a sophisticated, spacious, modern kind of mall. I mean, if you have the chance, you should come and take a walk.
Hence, i'm hungry and came to Ramen Village. Doesn't it look attractive? 7 ramen restaurant are gathered together here in one village.

What i tried is Universal Ramen, the one in the middle. First info, they serve pork. But don't worry since they also serve chicken, beef, and ebi.
Ramen Butao - Rp 58.000++
I really like Ramen Butao, The pork stock is mild, rich in flavour, and seasoned well. Pork meats are tender and juicy. And the ramen has a perfect texture, not too firm nor too soft. I'm so enjoying it down to the last sip. One thing they need to fix is the stock, they should have strained it so it looked cleaner and instagenic *wink*

Ebio - Rp 58.000++
Their Ebio is also has this wonderful fragrant ebi and shrimp stock. Though it has a reddish colour, don't worry, it's not spicy at all. But i wish they would topped it even with just 2 shrimp. It would make this Ebio more tempting :D

Ramen Genkio - Rp 58.000++
Now this Ramen Genkio is curry based one and it tasted good.

Ice Green Tea - Rp 10.000 (free refill)
I had ice green tea for drink, and you can refill it as much as you want *happy*

It's a delicious food, but it would be much better if they strained the stock first. And they really need to fix their order assignment. Really need to pay attention more. Mine got slipped on 3 orders, and i had to wait more than an hour for my food to came.

Bakmie Karet @ Jl Cibadak, Bandung

Do you like noodle? I love it, and my no 1 favourite noodle house now is Bakmie Karet. It's a small family restaurant.
Come in Moment
When i came for lunch, it's fully packed. I have to wait a while to be seated. Interiors are typical family restaurant and it's quite hot inside. But that doesn't kept people and ME from coming :)

Mie Karet Manis + Pangsit - Rp 21.000
Let me introduce you to their signature noodle and also their restaurant's name, Mie Karet. The noodle is thicker like udon, and cooked al dente. I was having their Yamin Manis with boiled Pangsit (wonton). You can also opt to have meatballs or both. The sweet sauce coated every strain perfectly. And the soup is made of chicken stock, which is YUM to sip at.

Mie Rica Manis Polos - Rp 21.000
Their Mie Rica has the right spicy level for me. Well, i don't have that high tolerance for hot spicy food. So if you're a hotchilidicted one, you have to add more. I chose regular thin noodles and it's well seasoned, savoury and tasty hot.

Baso Goreng (1/2) - Rp 18.000
I really like their Baso Goreng. It's fried nicely, well seasoned, a bit chewy. Such a good dense texture. I can snack on a lot of them. Yum!

Pangsit Goreng (1/2) - Rp 9.000
This Pangsit Goreng is not ordinary. I guess they made the filling their own. Worth trying too :D

I always have satisfied tummy here. Keep it up Bakmie Karet!

Street Food @ Jl Cibadak, Bandung

Jalan Cibadak is one of iconic night streetfood in Bandung. Either you want to eat some snack or have dinner, there are lots of choices to choose from. One by one, they started to open from 5.30 pm. Here are some that i've tried
Sop Kaki Sapi - Rp 35.000
This is VERY VERY recommended. I often come back to Jalan Cibadak for this searing hot, savoury, generous and tender meat of Sop Kaki Sapi. Yup, I've named all the reason why I like it. You can opt to have babat, meat, or both. But since i don't like babat that much, i only have meat. The meat, potatoes, and tomato are cooked in coconut cream and fragrant cow leg broth, resulted in a wonderful Yum Yum to my palate.

Nasi Campur - Rp 30.000
And pork lovers.... This one is for you, Nasi Campur 88. Highlight for the crackling fried pork belly. I just love that crunchy sound as you ate it. Yum!

Strawberry Lychee - Rp 20.000
If you're thirsty, you can try My Juice. They have such a wide range of drink to choose from. You can have juice, milkshake, or smoothie. And their juice, really, there are more fruit choices than any juice counter i've ever been to before. I got mine mixed, Strawberry Lychee. Nice blend, nice thickness. Yum!

Bihun Manis - Rp 25.000
Since it's quite crowded, i got curious and ordered Bihun Manis from Bakmi Maman. It really surprised me how it came in a big portion. Hence, it's not mixed well with the seasonings. It came with a bowl of meatball, dumpling, radish, and dorokdok.

Bola Ubi @ Rp 1.000
What is your favourite snack? One of mine is Bola Ubi. When i got there,  i had a chance to see how it's fried. And.. It's not as simple as i thought. You have to keep kneading while frying Bola Ubi in the wok until it expand round and crispy. I like it when it's still warm. Yum!

Sosis Bakar start from Rp 15.000
There's also another choice of snack like this Sosis Bakar Cicipi. You can choose from the selection of bratwurst (short or longer one) and sauce (bbq, blackpepper, or mixed)

Well, this wrapped up my culinary journey at Jl Cibadak for now. Hope it helps you a bit if you're confused on what to eat and if it's delicious or not. I'd love to hear it if you have any comments or recommendations.

Warung Sangrai @ Jl RE Martadinata, Bandung

Have you ever eaten any quail dish yet? Well, if you haven't, i recommend you to come to Warung Sangrai and try it. This is my first time eating one and i really like it. They serve two kinds of quail, local and french. Local quail is smaller (around 120 gr) and taste like chicken, while french quail is bigger (around 200 gr) and has more texture.
Come in Moment :D
Currently, Warung Sangrai has 11 branches in 5 cities (Jakarta, Tangerang, Bekasi, Bandung, and Bali). Here in Bandung, you can find them at Jl RE Martadinata 63 and Ruko Hyper Square D65. Soon, they will also open @ Istana BEC :) Hurray!
Puyuh Lokal Bakar Lombok - Rp 23.000+
This is one of their newest menu, Puyuh Lokal Bakar Lombok. It's savoury, spicy hot. Good thing, the chili sambal is spread atop the quail, so you can set it aside if you don't like it too spicy. The chili sambal is made of shrimp paste and lots of red chili. And the quail, ohhh it's grilled and seasoned nicely.
Puyuh Perancis Sambal Endeus - Rp 34.000+
My finger lickin' food, Puyuh Perancis Sambal Endeus. I really like the sambal so much, it's sweet and spicy hot in a GOOD WAY, that i lick all my fingers after i finished eating it. As for the french quail, it's fried nicely. Maybe because it's thicker, the seasonings doesn't seep through the whole meat.
Tahu Cabe garam - Rp 13.000+
As for their Tahu Cabe Garam, i'll like it more if they add more seasonings to it. It's too bland for my palate, had more taste only when i ate it along with the sliced chili.
Es Campur - Rp 19.000+
Had Es Campur for dessert, and it's really refreshing. Cuts of avocado, coconut, jackfruit, grassjelly, pacarcina, ice, and cocopandan syrup. Yum!

Really enjoyed my dine in Warung Sangrai, and it's in my regular to go list *wink*
