Depot Nasi Campur Pojok Tambak Bayan @ Pantai Indah Kapuk, Jakarta

Helloo Jakarta... Boy, I'm really amazed with Pantai Indah Kapuk area. There're plenty of cafe and restaurants along the way. And from Surabaya to Jakarta, there it is, Depot Nasi Campur Tambak Bayan. This restaurant is serving Indonesian food.

Got there during lunch time, and it's fully packed. There are 2 rooms separated, with air con and without one. I got table in non air conditioned room at first, and it's soooo soooo hot. Luckily just a while after our food served, there're guests who finished eating. Yay! AIR CON... I'm chillin and enjoying every spoon of my lunch happily.


Nasi Campur - Rp 38.000
Mandatory to its name, you ought to try their specialty, Nasi Campur. It is served with fried chili chicken, beancurd in coconut sauce, sauteed spicy vermicelli, half sweet boiled egg, and sambal goreng. If you like spicy food, this is for you. Plus, stir in their chili sauce for an extra SPICY kick.
For a non spicy choice, they have Nasi Kuning. It's a fragrant yellow rice served with fried chicken, beef jerky, beef floss, omelette, caramelized tempe and peanuts, and fried coconut shred (serundeng). Everything is cooked and seasoned nicely. I just enjoy every spoonful I had.


Sate Babi @ Rp 10.000
Had this nice side dish too, Sate Babi (aka pork satay). It's sweetly seasoned, nicely grilled and well matched with the spiciness of Nasi Campur.



Nasi Kuning - Rp 36.000
For a non spicy choice, they served Nasi Kuning. It's a fragrant yellow rice served with fried chicken, beef jerky, beef floss, omelette, caramelized tempe and peanuts, and fried coconut shreds (serundeng). Everything is cooked and seasoned nicely. I just enjoy every spoonful i had.


Nasi Putih + Rawon - Rp 40.000; Telur Asin - Rp 6.000 (half) 
What makes a Nasi Rawon delicious is the broth. It has to be a rich, flavorful beef stock with just the right amount of spices. The black color comes from 'kluwek', a type of spice that gives some kind of a herbal and rich aroma. I like how the beef cuts are tender and succulent.

Es Cincau Ijo - Rp 15.000

Had this good, refreshing Es Cincau Ijo for the hot day in Jakarta.

Mosaic All Day Dining Restaurant @ Jl Lembong, Bandung

Mosaic is a fusion buffet dining restaurant, located inside Crowne Plaza Hotel, which just opened 2 months ago. The interior is grand, with granite tiles, high ceiling, colourful glass window, cozy dining chairs, and wooden tables. It really gives you THAT luxurious feeling.

They have 9 stations: noodles, bbq, western, indonesian, chinese, sushi & sashimi, salad & soup, fruit, dessert.
Choices of noodle
Glass Noodle in Tom Yum broth
At noodles station, you can choose between variety of noodles, topping, and soup base available. There are 3 types of soup base, chicken, beef, and tom yum. I had Glass Noodle in Tom Yum Broth. And the tom yum soup is great, it had that kickin' spicy and sour flavour. Delicious!

Dim Sum
Right beside Noodle station, you'll find Dim Sum, They serve Shumai, Har Gao, and Spicy Chicken Leg. Tastewise, it's average.

BBQ station
BBQ Station
Bbq station is located outdoor, there are lots of choice here, from bratwurst, chicken, beef, shrimp, squid, lamb satay. I think it's better if they bbq more than orders to avoid lonq queue and waiting time.

Baked Potato
You'll find Baked Potato on BBQ Station, but it's not seasoned at all. Just a bland, natural potato taste.

Beef Steak
Grilled Lamb Leg
Western food station is my highlight for Mozaik. They served BEEF STEAK here, which is cooked medium well, just as my personal liking. It's really delicious. Yum yum! There's also grilled lamb leg and pasta.

Peking Duck
BRAISED PEKING DUCK!!! You can find this on Chinese food station. This is GOOODDD.

Salad

Homemade Ice Cream
Doesn't it look appetizing? There are sugar cookies, assorted traditional kuih basah, pudding, es campur on Dessert Station. And there's also homemade ice creams! The ice creams are not over milky, have a soft texture, and good taste. I tried green tea, vanilla and strawberry. Lovin' it.

Fruit Station
I super duper like their Fruit Station. As you can see above, there are lots of fruit choices. You can also take the apple, or passionfruit on that container.

Street Gourmet goes around Bandung

Have you ever dine in a moving bus? Well, if you haven't, you should try Street Gourmet. This is a unique and creative idea. I think it's really really suitable for tourist, either domestic or international. You get to travel around Bandung with a guide that explains about landmark, road that you passed.

Currently, they have 3 choices of menu package. Each represent Indonesian, Chinese, Western food. And each consists of salad, soup, main course, dessert, and drink.

Nicoise Salad (Gourmet 1)
Sweet Sour Salad (Gourmet 2)
I ordered Gourmet 1 & 2. After we started moving, they served Nicoise Salad, and i really like it. The vegetables are fresh, well seasoned, generous amount of smoked beef. Really a satisfying appetizer. While Sweet Sour Salad from Gourmet 2 is a bit bland, and the carrot shreds are still raw. I'll like it more if the carrot shreds are poached a while.

Top - Bottom: Potato Soup - Green Peas Soup
Next up from Gourmet 1 is Green Peas Soup. It has a really thick green peas taste and texture, giving you a sweet, creamy flavour. I tried the Potato Soup too. It is good, savoury, creamy, and served with garlic bread.

Burger Steak (Gourmet 1)
Manchurian Chicken (Gourmet 2)
Time for main course yay... From Gourmet 1 is Burger Steak. The presentation really lift up my appettite. Tastewise, burger meat is not as solid as my liking, and the mushroom sauce is a little bit too sweet. While Manchurian Chicken from Gourmet 2 is too thick in batter.

Panacotta (Gourmet 1)
Volcano (Gourmet 2)
Desserts presentation are PRETTY. Don't you agree? Gourmet 1's Panacotta has this sweet love shape, it's a mango flavour with sweet soury taste. While their Volcano is good, it's still a bit melting inside.

Drink
Last is the drink. It's the same for any package you chose. A cold refreshing 'markisa' drink.

Overal, what impressed me is their plating. It's clean, and beautifully arranged.

So here i am, back on the bus station. It's really a new, pleasant experience, and i enjoyed it. You can have it too for Rp 150.000/pax. Go on, take your phone and call for reservation. And i hope they'll have more packages to choose from.

Warung Sangrai @ Jl RE Martadinata, Bandung

Have you ever eaten any quail dish yet? Well, if you haven't, i recommend you to come to Warung Sangrai and try it. This is my first time eating one and i really like it. They serve two kinds of quail, local and french. Local quail is smaller (around 120 gr) and taste like chicken, while french quail is bigger (around 200 gr) and has more texture.

Currently, Warung Sangrai has 11 branches in 5 cities (Jakarta, Tangerang, Bekasi, Bandung, and Bali). Here in Bandung, you can find them at Jl RE Martadinata 63 and Ruko Hyper Square D65. Soon, they will also open @ Istana BEC :) Hurray!
Puyuh Lokal Bakar Lombok - Rp 23.000+
This is one of their newest menu, Puyuh Lokal Bakar Lombok. It's savoury, spicy hot. Good thing, the chili sambal is spread atop the quail, so you can set it aside if you don't like it too spicy. The chili sambal is made of shrimp paste and lots of red chili. And the quail, ohhh it's grilled and seasoned nicely.
Puyuh Perancis Sambal Endeus - Rp 34.000+
My finger lickin' food, Puyuh Perancis Sambal Endeus. I really like the sambal so much, it's sweet and spicy hot in a GOOD WAY, that i lick all my fingers after i finished eating it. As for the french quail, it's fried nicely. Maybe because it's thicker, the seasonings doesn't seep through the whole meat.
Tahu Cabe garam - Rp 13.000+
As for their Tahu Cabe Garam, i'll like it more if they add more seasonings to it. It's too bland for my palate, had more taste only when i ate it along with the sliced chili.
Es Campur - Rp 19.000+
Had Es Campur for dessert, and it's really refreshing. Cuts of avocado, coconut, jackfruit, grassjelly, pacarcina, ice, and cocopandan syrup. Yum!

Really enjoyed my dine in Warung Sangrai, and it's in my regular to go list *wink*

Steak Hotel by Holycow @ Cipaganti, Bandung

Started off as an on call bbq service in 2010, Holycow now has 11 branch already, including 2 in Bandung, 1 in Semarang, and 1 in Surabaya.

This review is based on my personal experience at Holycow TKP Bandung2. Though located at a 2 star hotel, don't worry since their food taste & quality is a 5 star one. The place is perfect for family and friends dining. It has a simple minimalist interior with wooden tables and chairs. Highlight for the chairs, since it has colorful seat back.

Beef Ribs Half - Rp 159.000
Beef Ribs Half (500 gr) was perfectly cooked, it's so tender and juicy. I'm amazed how i could detached the meat from bone easily. However, the seasonings haven't seep through every part of the meat. The ribs is served with special sauce (kind of like bolognaise sauce), french fries and roasted corn.
Holysteak - Rp 129.000
Their Holysteak (400 gr) was just as awesome. Look at that thickness *drool*. And it still easily sliced. Dipped it into the buddys special sauce and it's DOUBLE YUM. Buddys special sauce is cream sauce mixed with basil, taste was creamy and slight salty. Recommended one :D


Es Teh Tarik - Rp 15.000; Ice Cappucinno - Rp 15.000
Ordered Es Teh Tarik and Ice Cappucinno for drink. It's just a standard taste. Fyi, they also served Nestea lemon and blackcurrant.

Free Ice Cream
Andddd.... I get this ice cream condiment ❤ Simply just by uploading my photo to instagram and mention @holycow_radal and #TKPBandung2. Yay!! There were 2 choices of flavour, vanilla and chocolate.

Holycow is one of a great steak place in Bandung. Pricewise, you may think it's quite expensive. But you get what you pay. It's really worth every Rupiah :D

Chingu Cafe @ Jl Sawunggaling, Bandung

Annyeong haseyo.....
Chingu is korean language for Friend. And as the name goes, i felt welcomed here, it's not hard to find the waiter and they are quick respond to your needs.

When i entered, there is a small multi colored paper tree on my left. It is made of customers comment. Very cute ❤ 
And the walls are painted with comic character. I don't recommend a large pack to come here tho, since it's not spacious. It's just perfect for couple or group of 4.

And one more thing i'm sure you'd love to know is WI-FI. Now, everybody need this, right? I tried it on youtube and no buffering  *happy*

Bibimbap - Rp 24.900
They served popular korean food, such as Bibimbap. When it came, don't take too long to mix, mix and mix. I like how mild and savoury it is, each ingredients has just the perfect portion.
Jjajangmyeon - Rp 23.900
Their Jjangmyeon on the other hand, kinda taste like Lomie. It has thickened black bean sauce, and has salty, sweet flavour. It's good but nothing special.
Odeng - Rp 15.900
I often see Odeng on korean drama or variety show, and i always want to try this. You know, it's a fishcake. Now this Odeng is delicious, it is soft and soaked with fish broth. I don't recommend sippin the broth on its own tho, since it's too salty.
Pink Panda Bingsoo - Rp 26.900
If you've followed my instagram, you'd seen this Pink Panda Bingsoo. Generous pearls, strawberry popping bobas, and taro pudding atop bed of shaved ice, served with vanilla ice cream and tjampolay sauce. It has a sweet, slightly sour taste. Refreshing!
Green Tea Pat Bingsoo - Rp 28.900
I am a green tea fans, so i really like this Green Tea Pat Bingsoo. And this dessert came on a perfectly fit serving glass, so i ask for another bowl to eat it. Their green tea ice cream is yum, and when you mix it with all the layers of red bean, nata de coco, pearl, pudding, and shaved ice, it is double YUM.

My tummy is happy with the food and service here at Chingu Cafe. Can't wait for their upcoming Hotteok (korean hotcakes) menu. And i'll review it for you when it's arrive. So stay tuned :)

Mouton @ Jl R.E Martadinata, Bandung

Jalan Riau is one of crowded streets in Bandung. There are a lot of factory outlet and cafe here, making it a tourist culinary & shopping destination. And here i found a good lamb restaurant, nicely grilled and not smelly at Mouton.


Serving their customers daily from 6 pm onwards, it's a bbq & grill outdoor restaurant. You can feel the Middle east atmosphere here, since it's basically a large tent. Moreover, their signature menu is lamb leg, which is a common Middle east food. And the chillo dipping also has mixed herb powder taste.

When they served the lamb leg and beef slice, i almost can't differentiate it. Can you see it?Even if they put lime on top of beef meat, i guess i'll believe it if they say it is lamb. It's just THAT well how they cooked the meat. All i have to do now is just regrill it for a minute, dip it to sweet soy sauce and chillo, then munch it. Yum!

Mix skewers - Rp 27.500
Now it's GRILLING TIME! There are 3 types of skewers, chicken thigh, octopus, and chicken skin. Mine is mix one, since i want to try it all haha..  Dip into soy sauce and wait till it has that lovely brownish colour. I definitely like the octopus one.

This is one of a good restaurant to hangout with friends. I wish they will add more variation to skewers menu.
