Jigana Suki @ Sukajadi Square, Bandung

One of the newest suki restaurant in Bandung, Jigana Suki. Suki is always a great comfort food, especially on rainy season like this or when you're unwell. And I have to give thumbs up for suki base here. It's really DELIGHTFUL. It's really their specialty. The suki base is just awesome, it's mild and rich in flavor.

Come in moment *reverse*

The interior is basic, with nice lighting and nice space between tables. But I think they rush a bit for restaurant's opening, since the EDC card is not ready yet. So no debit no credit card works, except for personal ID perhaps LOL~

Jigana Suki is serving 4 types of base: Original, Tomato, Mushroom and Spicy. I tried Original and Mushroom. Original is made of various Chinese herb, such as goji berry etc. Can't identify the rest of ingredients tho. It tasted herbal and warming. While mushroom, my favorite, had this enoki and hioko scent. It's just wonderful in every sip i had. Another plus point is all suki base here is MSG free. Yes!

Original Suki Base & Mushroom @ Rp 29.900
Various Add On
But, differ from another suki restaurant, you have to pay for suki base here. What?! I'm as surprised as you are when the bill came. Indeed, the suki base has a different quality, but i personally think it's still a bit overpriced.

Suki Putih - Rp 29.900
Suki Putih - Rp 29.900
Had this fried Bakso Roti Udang, Pangsit, and a plate of mixed vegetables to complement the suki. It's good and the vegetables are fresh.

Honey Tea "Aloe Vera" - Rp 22.728

Honey Tea "Aloe Vera" came with few aloe vera chunks inside. It's nice. Be careful when mixing tho to get your personal taste of sweetness.

I might came back when I miss their mushroom suki. Personal recommendation for mushroom.

RM Legoh @ Jl Sultan Agung, Bandung

RM Legoh is well known for their Babi Cuka (fried pork with cider) and Manado cuisine.
I simply like this RM Legoh's ambiance. A wide house terrace transformed into a restaurant. It is semi outdoor with natural breeze and lighting. Cozy! I also like the tables covering they used, it gave more texture to each photo taken. Anddd another plus point is the waiter is nice and friendly.

Come in Moment :D
Es Alpukat Kerok - Rp 23.000
To be frank, I am expecting a bigger glass of shaved avocado. But still, it's a refreshing dessert. The shaved avocado is drizzled with mocca syrup, which is wonderful. The shaved ice is not enough for me tho', so i ask the waiter for more. Don't worry, it's free!

Nasi Goreng Hitam - Rp 23.000
Their Nasi Goreng Hitam is delicious. The black color come from squid's ink. And the rice is fried with shrimp, squid, and topped with a sunny side up. What makes this Nasi Goreng Hitam special is the various herb used in cooking it. Some that I noticed is scallion, garlic, shallot, lemongrass and kemangi. Really fragrant!
Bacuk - Rp 29.000
Here is the all time favorite at RM Legoh, Babi Cuka. Cider is infused in chili sauce, so when you dipped it, that's the ultimate taste of Babi Cuka. Salty and a bit sour. Eat Babi Cuka with a plate of rice and it's splendid. Must try!
Keju Aroma - Rp 10.000
Usually I eat Pisang Aroma, banana rolled in spring roll skin then fried till golden brown. Here at RM Legoh, I found Keju Aroma. Not banana, but cheese rolled in spring roll skin. Amazing.... It's salty and a bit sweet on the skin. One of my recommended menu.
Kwetiau Asin - Rp 23.000
I ordered Kwetiau Asin since it's a bit rare to see it on menu. I often find the sweet one, how about you? But it really surprised me when it's served. A LOT!! Kwetiaw Asin is sauteed with lots of garlic, chicken, egg and vegetables. Salty and good.

Overall, I had a nice lunch and chit chat here. When I'm back, I'll try the Manado cuisine. See ya!

Tjendana Bistro @ Jl Sukajadi, Bandung

Got a recommendation on Tjendana Bistro from a friend and here I am. The restaurant is spacious, bright and really cozy. It is in U-shape with a garden in the middle and a small playground at the upright corner of the restaurant. I think this place is great for family time or family gathering. Interior is minimalist, with wooden tables and chairs. Well, since i went here on Chinese New Year, there're lantern decoration throughout the room.

Come in Moment

Welcome Snack - Rujak
Tjendana Bistro is serving Indonesian food. Annddd as a welcome snack, I got a plate of Rujak. Yay!!. It is made of cuts of fresh fruit, like water apple, mango, cucumber, sweet potato, which drizzled with peanut sauce. A refreshing starters!!

Mie Goreng Spesial - Rp 36.000
This Mie Goreng Spesial is yummy. It's the typical noodle that I like, which is neither too soft nor too dry. The noodle is nicely seasoned, sweet and savory. It is cooked with chicken, shrimp, egg, chinese cabbage, and beansprouts.

Mango Chicken - Rp 58.000
Mango Chicken, THIS ONE is definitely my favorite and the champ of the lunch. Deliciooouusss! The chicken is nicely seasoned, it's sweet with a bit of sourness from mango cuts. Really refreshing. Annddd there're some hints of coriander on this menu, which i like.

Grilled Jumbo Sotong - Rp 88.000
You know, when i read the name, Grilled Jumbo Sotong, the first image that popped in my mind is a big sized squid. So i'm a bit lost here. And since it's grilled, expect around 20 minutes waiting time. However, they managed to cook it perfectly. It's soft and easy to munch.

Beef Soup Garang Asam - Rp 65.000
Sup Garang Asam here is a twist to the authentic one, with coconut milk added. But, i think it made the soup tasted more like Soto Betawi. I'll like it better if they add more cucumber tree since the sourness is still not kickin' enough. Taste is good.

Es Cendol Green Tea - Rp 22.000
I'm really happy that i ordered this Es Cendol Green Tea, since it's really GOOD. Everything blend so well, the cendol, green tea ice cream, and cuts of jack fruit. I really like how the green tea taste is not overpowering. It's just fragrant, mild. and lovely!

I had pleasant food dining here at Tjendana Bistro, and right now i'm drooling over the Mango Chicken and Es Cendol Green Tea. I'll come back for it!!!

Imbi Market @ Jalan Kampung, Kuala Lumpur

On my short trip to Kuala Lumpur, Imbi Market is my regular breakfast place. It is a traditional wet market, but in the front area, there is a medium sized food court. And it's fully packed every morning i went there.

If you notice, the food court has 2 different table's color, which is white and red. The sellers in white area don't want to deliver to red area, and vice versa. Even, some sellers just allow people who bought their food/drink to sit at the surrounding table. But... don't be too annoyed with this kind of arrangement and just enjoy your breakfast time here *wink*. So far, i haven't found any disappointing food and i really miss every single food i tried.

Soooo.... Here they are,

Ah Fook Chee Cheong Fun
It's a delicious different twist to my regular cheong fun. The cheong fun (rice flour cake) is cut into strips and smothered with sweet & sour red sauce then sprinkled with white & black sesame. This Cheong Fun is best eaten with their assorted yong tau foo. I chose fish balls, cowpea, fried dumpling, and fried sausage. Highlight goes to the fried dumpling. It's a crispy square shape, and layered with meat mixture. This meat mixture is very yummy, with hint of lime leaves which truly add my appetite.

Sisters Crispy Popiah - RM 2.2
I found another interesting twist to my regular Lumpia Basah here at Imbi Market. What makes this Popiah so delicious is the crunchy fried ingredient, the hoisin sauce and the cucumber strips which add a refreshing taste to this Popiah from Sisters Crispy Popiah. Kriuk!

Curry Mee - RM 6.5
Curry has always been my personal favorite. So... if it's yours too, i strongly recommend you to try the Curry Mee here. It's double YUM. Really savory and rich in flavor. There are 3 types of Mee inside the bowl, which is noodles, rice vermicelli, and kwetiaw. It's great that each of it is well cooked. Uh-ma-zing!

Ah Weng Koh Hainan Tea - RM 2

This Hainan Tea is so memorable. I still remember a very spirited elder who jog around to deliver cups of Hainan Tea. What is Hainan Tea? It' s a coffee and tea mixture. But the mixture is so wonderful that neither coffee nor tea dominates the taste. Like it a lot!

Bun Choon Egg Tart @ RM 1.7
Who has a sweet tooth? Raise your hands please.... At Imbi Market, you'll easily found this Bun Choon Egg Tart stall, since people are queuing for their freshly baked Egg Tart. I really like it, especially when it's still warm. The skin is still crisp and the egg filling is moist, melt in your mouth. Just awesome! So i really recommend you to eat it within 3 hours to taste its best. Just for info, photo above are taken after around 6 hours.

I'll definitely come back for breakfast at Imbi Market.
